About Us

Wilson and Morgan is a Malawian legal firm. It was established and registered as a partnership in 1947 by Henry Bertram Wilson, William David Morgan, and Michael Hill Blackwood as founding partners. Mr Wilson died in 1948. The firm continued with the two surviving partners, Mr Morgan and Mr Blackwood. Mr Morgan retired from the firm in 1953 and Mr Blackwood continued as sole proprietor until 1955, when Phillip Marcus Pitt MC, MBE was taken in as partner.

Mr Blackwood retired from the firm in 1983 and Mr Pitt continued as sole proprietor until 1988 when Dinker Amritlal Raval SC was taken in as partner. Arthur Alick Msowoya was taken in as a partner in 2003. Mr Pitt MC, MBE retired in 2008. Mr. Raval SC died in September 2015. Mr. Msowoya continued as a sole proprietor until 2024 when Mr. Fiskani Movete Nkhoma was taken in as partner.

The firm has, therefore, been in continuance existence since 1947 and its current proprietors are
Mr. Msowoya and Mr. Movete Nkhoma.
In the 77 years that the firm has been in existence, it has managed to establish a tradition of
reliable and uncompromisingly competent services to its clientele and the public at large.
